Obituary of Mildred C Perna

Mildred C. Perna, (nee Masi) 92, of Hammonton, passed away peacefully on Saturday July 2, 2016 at the Heritage Assisted Living Facility, after a brief illness. Born in Hammonton she was a lifelong resident there. She was a retired production line worker for Whitehall Laboratories of Hammonton. Mrs. Perna worked for Whitehall from the time they opened their doors until her retirement 32 years later. She was dedicated to her church and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Mrs. Perna loved doing things for and with her family, they were her pride and joy. She was predeceased by her parents, Antonio and Rose Masi; her husband, Ralph T. Perna; her brothers, Nick, Albert and Fred Masi and her sisters, Marie Masi and Caroline Angello. Mrs. Perna is survived by her son, Ralph A. Perna, Sr and his wife Patti of Hammonton, her daughter, Joy Ann Spangler and her husband Milton of Cumming, GA; two brothers, Alfred Masi of Elm, NJ; Anthony Masi of Philadelphia, PA; her grandchildren and their spouses, Ralph A. and Rose Ann Perna, Amy and Thomas DeLaurentis; Milton C. and Wendy Spangler, III, Susan and Brad Griffis; Jason and Ashlee Spangler; six great grandsons, Nick, Frank, Anthony Perna; Thomas Alan DeLaurentis; Jeremy and Justin Griffis and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday July 7, 2016, 10:00am in St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish, Church of St. Joseph's 226 French St., Hammonton. Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Viewings will be held Wednesday 7:00pm - 9:00pm and again on Thursday 8:30am - 9:30am at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton. Memorial Donations may be made to the Religious Sisters of St. Joseph's Convent 219 N. Third St. Hammonton, NJ 08037.
