Obituary of Salvatore Mascola

Salvatore Mascola, 92, of Hammonton passed away on Monday, Nov. 16, 2015 at Vitas Hospice in Stratford. Born in Philadelphia he was a lifelong Hammonton resident. He was a retired airplane mechanic for Airwork Corporation in Millville. Mr. Mascola served in the army air force during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion F.A. Funston Post #186 in Hammonton. He served as an usher at St. Martin de Porres RC Church and with St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish in Hammonton. Mr. Mascola is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Anna Mascola (nee Magazu); his four children, Salvatore Mascola (Denise) of Virginia, Brenda McCourt (Ken) of Delaware, Karen Patterson (Bob) of Winslow; Ronald Mascola (Joan) of Hammonton; one sister, Elena Martinelli of Hammonton; 11 grandchildren, Stacey, April, Salvatore III, Sara, Vincent, Paolo, Giancarlo, Jenna, Jessica, James, Emily and 2 great grandchildren, A.J. and Anna. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday Nov. 20, 2015, 1:00pm in St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish Church of St. Joseph's 226 French St., Hammonton. Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hammonton. A viewing will be held on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2015 from 7:00pm - 9:00pm at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Hammonton Cancer Foundation PO Box 1066, Hammonton, NJ 08037.
