Obituary of Elaine C. Brooks

Elaine C. Brooks (nee Jacobs), 67, of Hammonton passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. Born in Philadelphia she was a resident of Hammonton since 1980. Before retiring she worked as a school teacher for the Philadelphia Public School System. Mrs. Brooks was a graduate of St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia. She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Helen Jacobs; and her brother, John Jacobs. She is survived by her two children, Jennifer Arduino (Ron), and Adam Brooks (Jessica),; two grandchildren, Isaac Brooks and Sarah Brooks all of Hammonton; one brother, Frank Jacobs (Kay) of Dallas, TX and several nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held on Sunday, July 26, 2015 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third Street in Hammonton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday July 27, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish Church of St. Joseph's, 226 French Street in Hammonton. Burial will follow at Greenmount Cemetery in Hammonton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Brain and Behavior Research foundation, www.bbrfoundation.org
