Obituary of Anthony Ruberton

Buddy (Anthony Nicholas) Ruberton, 74, of Hammonton passed away on Wednesday in Atlantic Care Regional Medical Center Mainland Division. Born in Egg Harbor he lived in Hammonton for 55 years. Buddy was a well known barber in Hammonton for over 50 years, he worked for Whitehall Laboratories in Hammonton for 37 years and most recently he worked for Napa Auto Parts in Hammonton. Buddy was often referred to as the "Honorary Mayor" of Hammonton. Buddy served in the Army National Guard for seven years. He was predeceased by his sister Phyllis Rundio and his brother Rocco Louis Ruberton. Buddy is survived by his wife, Phyllis C. (nee Carina), two daughters, Renee K. Ruberton; Sheri J. Ruberton all of Hammonton, two sisters, Marie Peterson of Asheville, NC; Judy Matarazzo and her husband Frank of Lititz, PA; his sisters in law, Nancy Ruberton-Maiorano; Kathleen Silipena, his brother in law and sister in law John A. and Shirley Streich, his grandchildren, Philip F. Salvatore, Rebecca A. Salvatore, Christopher A. Salvatore, Colby A. Salvatore and his great grandson, Bentley. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday 10:00am in St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish, Church of St. Joseph's, 226 French St., Hammonton. Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hammonton. A viewing will be held Sunday 6:00pm - 8:00pm and again on Monday morning 8:30am at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St, Hammonton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
