Andrea Ortiz Bones, 83, of Atlantic City passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Absecon Manor. Born in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico to Genara Castro and Toribio Ortiz she was one of five children. Arriving in the United States in the early 1950's with her former husband Policarpo Concepcion she went on and started her new life in Hammonton, NJ having six children, Hector Ruffino Concepcion, Sandra Concepcion-Perez, Wilfredo Concepcion, Myrna Concepcion-Rodriguez, Ricardo Concepcion, and Veronica Concepcion-Rivera. She is also survived by six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. She was a good mother and provider and she worked at Bally's Park Place Casino for five years where she met her current husband Maximino Bones they have been married for eighteen years. Andrea was the type of person that didn't give up in anything that she would do. She loved her gardens and flowers and the outdoors. She also loved her long walks in the parks and the fresh air. She had a good sense of humor and loved cooking and sharing with family and friends. She also loved sewing and going to the casinos and she loved those penny machines. She and her husband loved walking on the boardwalk and watching the boats come in on one of her favorite spots on a warm summer day. A viewing will be held on Monday, Jan. 12, 2015 from 9:00am - 10:30am at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday 11:00am iat St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish Church of St. Anthony of Padua RC Church, 285 Rte. 206, Hammonton. Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the family would be appreciated.
