Obituary of Josephine Mascioli

Josephine Mascioli, 83, of Hammonton passed away peacefully Sunday, August 31, 2014 with her family at her side. Born in Winslow she was a lifelong area resident. Mrs. Mascioli was a machine operator for Romolo's Clothing Company in Hammonton. She also worked as a maintenance supervisor at Ancora Psychiatric Hospital where she retired from in 1992. She was a member of the St. Rita's Society and St. Martin de Porres Rosary Altar Society and the Hammonton Senior Citizens. Mrs. Mascioli enjoyed baking, traveling and lending a hand to all those in need, but her greatest joy were her grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Carmen and Anna (Nunzio) Simonetti, her sisters, Frances Ingemi, Mickey Silipena, Elaine Fichetola, her brothers, Carmen Simonetti, Jr. and Anthony Simonetti. Mrs. Mascioli is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Sam Mascioli, her daughters, Kathy Farinaccio and her husband Vincent, Carol Mascioli and her husband Jeffrey Arnold; her son Sammy Mascioli and his wife Debbie; her grandchildren, Jennifer Marshall (Leroy), Alison Penna (Justin), Katie-Lynn, Kelsey, Samuel, Jr. and Solomon Mascioli, her sister, Jennie Raniolo, her two brothers, Philip Simonetti (Grace) and Michael Simonetti (Josephine) and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday 10:00am in St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish, Church of St. Joseph's 226 French Street, Hammonton. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Viewings will be held Wednesday evening 6:00pm - 9:00pm and again on Thursday 8:30am - 9:30am at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton. In lieu of flowers donations may be to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Society PO Box 182, Hammonton, NJ 08037.
