Albert P. Nicholson of Egg Harbor City, NJ (formerly of Elwood, NJ) was the son of the late Benjamin Nicholson, Sr. and Azalee Weaver. He was born on December 16, 1918 in Edgefield County, South Carolina and went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 15, 2014. Albert received his education through the Pennsylvania Public School system. He met and married the love of his life Johnnie on June 2, 1940. They were married for 65 years. Albert was a Veteran of World War II where he served his country as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. Albert retired from the U.S. Treasury Department of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing in Washington, D.C. after 42 years of service. During his lifetime, Albert received many recognitions, accommodations and awards. Albert loved being surrounded by his family and friends. Predeceased by his siblings and wife Johnnie Nicholson. He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Sharon Nicholson-DeLosSantos, Derek Nicholson (Tonya), Deborah Nicholson; 1 foster daughter Overseer Patricia Daniels; daughter in law, Myrelo "Rose" Nicholson; son in law Samuel DeLosSantos, Jr.(Leticia); 3 grandchildren, Samuel, Danielle and Derek; 10 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; 5 foster grandchildren; 4 loving caregivers, Judy, Debbie, Terri, Byrd; one special best friend, Mesha and a host of loving nieces and nephews, cousins, family and friends. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, July 22 in Shiloh Baptist Church, 640 Philadelphia Ave., Egg Harbor City, where a viewing will be held from 9:00am until 11:00am. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Egg Harbor City Cemetery.
