Diane C. Fucetola (nee Garvey) 72, a longtime resident of Winslow Township and Hammonton, died peacefully in the arms of her beloved husband, Rocco, and surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Feb. 20, 1945. Diane received an Associate's Degree in nursing from Gloucester County College, and a BA in School nursing and a Masters in Educational Leadership from Glassboro State College. She began her career as a school nurse in Winslow Township District and realized her dream as a principal at Good Intent School in Deptford Township. Diane loved to travel, but her favorite place in the whole world was her serene cabin in Maine. She was a person of many talents, who thoroughly enjoyed life. She was an Associate of St Lucy Fillipini , member of Our Lady of Mt Carmel choir, RCIA, lector, and Eucharistic Minister. She was a member of Hammonton Cancer Foundation. She was instrumental in creating the Leigh Anne Fucetola Scholarship in memory of her daughter. Diane is predeceased by her daughter, Leigh Anne, parents Thomas and Helen Garvey, brothers; Thomas Garvey, John Garvey, Mark Garvey, and sister-in-law Lois Garvey. Diane is survived by her husband, Rocco, son, Rocco and her loving and caring daughter-in –law, Katherine of Braddock, her grandchildren Rocco, Claira, and Gabriel, her sisters Liz Penza and her husband Ron of Hammonton, and Marie Phero and her husband Walter of Braddock, sister-in laws; Joanne Garvey, Marilyn Garvey, Rita Garvey, and Marie Fucetola, brother-in-law Frank Fucetola and his wife Diane, and many loving nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held at St. Mary of Mount Carmel Parish, Church of St. Joseph, 226 French Street, Hammonton on Tuesday evening from 6 pm to 9 pm and on Wednesday at 10 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hammonton.
